so... I started this painting about... oh... 5 years ago... when my best friend moved into a townhouse with her family. I think it was a Yule-slash-housewarming gift. Supposed to have been. LOL. I started working on it again today... I'm still not done (as you can see - - top right yellow background instead of black... and the legs, beak, shading, etc. I've got a lot of touching up to do.)

I wanted some advice on 3 things, and I'm hoping a few people will indulge me... *smile*

1) The fire at the bottom. It. Sucks. Ass. ...big time. I've tried several things... nothing has worked... what you see now is a result of messing around a lot with no success. Advice on fixing it? I can't draw fire to save my life.

2) OK. Legs. I have no idea what to do with them. they look like little... I dunno... dead sparrow legs. LOL yeesh. Helpppp lol.

3) I'm thinking of adding one more row of feathers to try and fix the... the... ? separation between the bottom-most feathers... the yellow ones. I was thinking maybe a lighter yellow almost like the unfinished background in the top right? What do you think?

I'll upload updates as I have them but I'm hoping for some feedback first?
